Philippe Orrico will open his very own restaurant Upper Modern Bistro on 18 October 2013. It will be located at 6-14 Upper Station Street in Sheung Wan on Hong Kong Island.
The menu will reflect Philippe's East meets West heritage.
“With its launch, I will bring to bear my extensive experience gathered while travelling in Asia, technical skill learnt in France’s top kitchens, as well as my own personal sense of curiosity of the world’s top ingredients and cuisines, to create something truly personal and unique,” Philippe says.
“My global approach will allow me a great deal of liberty in the menu at Upper Modern Bistro. Expect comforting bistro dishes, French tapas and more elaborate cuisine with an Asian twist. Sample dishes will include my signature Mushroom soup as well as newer creations such as my Hiramé fish with Schweppes, lemon and ginger dressing.”
Sheung Wan has evolved into one of Hong Kong's trendiest neighborhoods in recent years. Upper is the latest in a series of bistros and cafes to open in the up-and-coming district.
