One of the biggest celebrations of Asian and Asian American culture takes place in the Streets of San Francisco as the Northern California Cherry Blossom Festival draws more than 200,000 sakura fans
More than 200,000 pepole are expected to attend the Northern California Cherry Blossom Festival, which will be held in the Streets of San Francisco over 2 weekends: 11 and 12 April and 18 and 19 April in Japantown, which is situated in the city's Western Addition district.
There will be food booths, cultural performances, live music, drumming, and demonstrations of martial arts at one of the City's biggest street parties of the year.
The festivities will reach a climax on the 19 April, when a Grand Parade will march from San Francisco Civic Center to Japantown, at Post and Filmmore streets, beginning at 1 pm.
New this year will be a Hello Kitty Cafe Truck and 2 beer gardens.
