Vancouver, British Columbia, is served by several international airlines linking the city with numerous travel destinations around the world, and now an important gap is filled: Paris, France!
Air France has launched non-stop flights linking Paris, France, with Vancouver, British Columbia.
"Bienvenue Air France!" says Craig Richmond, President and CEO, Vancouver Airport Authority.
"British Columbians have been asking for direct service to Paris for some time, and we are very excited to welcome Air France to YVR. This new service creates opportunities for business, tourism and trade and strengthens our already strong air access ties with Europe."
Flights will operate 3 times per week from 29 March to 3 May 2015 and from 14 September and 24 October 2015. There will be 5 weekly flights during the summer peak season from 4 May 4 13 September.
"Our government welcomes Air France's direct service between Vancouver and Paris," Kerry-Lynne Findlay, Minister of National Revenue, Government of Canada.
"The new service will boost tourism and business, provide more choice for Canadian travelers, and have a positive impact on our economy."
Passengers can make on line connection to 55 travel destinations in Europe on Air France and its partner airline KLM Royal Dutch Airlines.
WestJet offers on line connections to travel destinations throughout Canada.
The airline will operate a Boeing 777-200 on the route. The airliner can carry 309 passengers including 35 in Business Class, 24 in Premium Economy, and 250 in Economy.
The Premium Economy cabins have been redesigned for improved comfort, offering seats with 40% more space than Economy.
Vancouver International Airport offers flights to travel destinations throught Canada, the Caribbean, Mexico, and the United States.
