Conventions and Exhibitions
The 30th Annual Hong Kong International Travel Expo opens today at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. It will be open to the trade only on the first two days. It will be open to the public on 18 and 19 June 2016.
More than 600 exhibitors from 50 countries will take part in the 30th Annual Hong Kong International Travel Expo, which opens today at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre in Wanchai on Hong Kong Island.
About 80% of the exhibitors will be from overseas, and 20% will be from Hong Kong. Africa, Asia, Europe, the Indian Ocean, the Middle East, Oceania, North America, and South America will all be represented.
Exhibitors will largely be grouped by geography, but popular travel themes such as honeymoons and overseas weddings, cruises, sports tourism, ecotourism, travel photography, and in-depth travel will also be featured.
There will be more than 100 seminars, cultural performances, special offers, and lucky draws on public days.
Exhibitors will include tourism authorities, resorts, hotels, airlines, theme parks, attractions, travel agents, and travel product providers.
Hong Kong Travel Agents Zone
There will be Hong Kong Travel Agents Zone, where attendees can get information and books tours.
A series of travel seminars will be held on specific destinations and themes such as eco-tourism, rail travel, travel photography, and culture. Most of the seminars will be held in Cantonese. A few of them will be held in English or Mandarin.
Several tourism authorties will put on cultural performances on the Grand Stage on Saturday and Sunday. There will be a lucky draw on Sunday.
The Travel Expo will be open to the trade only on the 16 and 17 June. The public can attend on 18 and 19 June, with tickets costing HK$25 on Saturday and HK$20 on Sunday. Tickets can be purchased at the door.

The convention and exhibition centre is within walking distance of the Wanchai MTR station. It is a short taxi ride from Admiralty, Causeway Bay, Central, North Point, Happy Valley, Sheung Wan, Western, and other points on Hong Kong Island.
