Qatar Airways adds Miami, Florida, to its growing network of travel destinations. It is the Doha based airline's 142nd travel destination and its 6th travel destination in the United States. Flights commence on 10 June 2014.
Qatar Airways first flight to Miami, Florida, landed at Miami International Airport on 10 June 2014. It is the first airline service ever flying non-stop between Miami and the Middle East.
Passengers will be able to transit at Qatar's newly opened Hamad International Airport for such travel destinations as Bangkok, Thailand; Colombo, Sri Lanka; Mumbi, India; and Nairobi, Kenya, arriving in 20 hours or less.
Other US travel destinations in the Qatar Airways travel network include Chicago, Houston, New York, Philadelphia, and Washington, DC. Dallas/Fort Worth will be added on 1 July 2014 as the airline's 7th US travel destination.
The Middle Eastern airline will operate a Boeing 777-200 on the route in two class configuration. There are 42 seats in Business Class and 217 seats in economy.
