Taiwan: Airline Takes Delivery of 2 Boeing 777-300ER Airliners

EVA Air of Taiwan takes delivery of 2 Boeing 777-300ER aircraft. It is the first airline in the world to operate the fuel efficient extended range airliner with Panasonic's eX3 in-flight entertainment system.

The Panasonic eX3 in-flight entertainment system on EVA Air's new flagship Boeing 777-300ER features in-flight Wi-Fi connectivity and high-definition video touch screens at every seat.

"Our new Boeing 777-300ERs will allow us to initiate significant changes in the flying experience we offer passengers around the world," says EVA Air Chairman K.W. Chang.

"We will continue to modernize our world-class fleet with new and innovative technologies, ensuring that our passengers receive the most comfortable and memorable flying experience."

The Boeing 777 is a twin-engine airplane that can fly distances of up to 7,825 nautical miles, or up to 14,490 kilometers.

The Boeing 777 is equipped with the world's most powerful GE90-115B commercial jet engine. It can seat up to 386 passengers in a t3-class configuration.
