Blogger Match-up Part Two
Travel bloggers and travel industry professionals from across the Asia Pacific have arrived in Bangkok, Thailand, for what organizers are calling the first ever Blogger Match-up to be held in this part of the world.
Bridging the Gap
Digital Innovation Asia is hosting the event, which opens today and will run through 12 June 2013. Most of the events will take place at the lebua hotel at State Tower in the heart of Downtown Bangkok.
Things will kick off this morning with speeches and presentations that will help to bridge the gap between travel bloggers and travel suppliers. James Throenhart, Founder of Digital Innovation Asia, will make the opening remarks.
This will be followed by a panel discussion on how to form mutually beneficial partnerships between travel bloggers and travel suppliers. Next will be presentations on calcuating the return on investment of blogger engagement and how to organize effective blogger trips.
How to Create Inspiring Content
The presentation that I'm most excited about will come next: how to create inspiring content that people other than your mother will want to read. Can this lead to better engagement with my readers?
There will then be what organizers are calling “an interactive lunch”. This will be followed by two hours worth of “speed dating” and one hour's “intimacy” for dates to get to know each other better over drinks.
In the evening, attendess with join travel industry movers and shakers from across the Asia Pacific at Bangkok's Bed Superclub to attend the Digital Innovation Asia Awards.
