Updated for the 2017 NFL season. The 10 most popular Panther  watch bars in North and South Carolina and 10 other spots around the country. Please comment on bars and add your own recommendations. Photos of fans at sports bars welcome!

Since they were founded in 1995, the Carolina Panthers have made only one trip to the Super Bowl, but what a trip it was! Super Bowl XXXVIII is considered by many to be the greatest Super Bowl game of all time.

Played in Houston, Texas, on 1 February 2004, it was both exciting and well played. The Carolina Panthers lost to the New England Patriots by a score of 29 to 32.

More memorable, however, is what happened during halftime.

Performing during the halftime show, songstress Janet Jackson suffered a “wardrobe malfunction”, which led to a broadcasting crackdown against indecency by the United States Federal Communications Commission.

The Carolina Panthers are a member of the South Division of the National Football Conference (NFC) of the National Football League (NFL).

They joined the NFL in 1993 as the football league's 29th franchise, beginning play in 1995.

The Panthers play home games at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina. They are one of the few NFL teams that owns the stadium they play in.

As the Carolina Panthers, the football team draws fan support from across the Carolinas, as the following list of sports bars demonstrates.

If you want to root for the Carolina Panthers in North or South Carolina, chances are there is a sports bar that will make you feel welcome nearby.

If you live in other parts of the country, however, it might be a bit more difficult. This is not a team with a national following.

With one exception: one of the most enthusiastic Carolina Panthers sports bars in the country is located in the nation's capital!
