Steam Train Sundays were re-launched on 4 March 2012 by the Workshops Rail Museum in Brisbane, Australia.
Steam Train Sunday will continue through December 2012, with two departures from Brisbane's Roma Street Station per day: 10.10 am and 11.40 am.
With whistles blowing, carriages swaying, and steam hissing, the steam train is a wonderful way to tour Brisbane, one of Australia's most scenic cities.
"Aside from providing a ride on a grand old train, in some cases the trip allows for parents and grandparents to share their past with their children and grandchildren," says Andrew Moritz, Director of The Workshops Rail Museum.
"And you can't go past the charm of an old steam locomotive and the timber carriages that were created so many years ago at the birthplace of rail, the Ipswich Railway Workshops."
