Hong Kong Restaurant
The Cafe Deco Group's eponymous flagship eatery, Cafe Deco The Peak, has migrated north from its prestigious location on the Peak to the 20th floor of a skyscraper in Kowloon, with sweeping views of Victoria Harbour.
The restaurant has also been rechristened Cafe Deco The One after the building it occupies at 100 Nathan Road.
Built in 2010, the building houses more than 140 shops and more than 20 food and beverage establishments.
Cafe Deco occupies the entire 20th floor of the 23 storey building. Floor to ceiling picture windows along two walls afford sweeping views of Victoria Harbour and Hong Kong Island's spectacular skyline.
There is a balcony at the Western end of the restaurant.
I'm sure that the restaurant would offer spectacular views of the fireworks over Victoria Harbour at Chinese New Year and Chinese National Day.
The restaurant has an open oyster bar, a lobster tank with live lobsters, a tandoori oven, and a cocktail bar.
The menu runs from such old Cafe Deco favourites as Himalayan chicken, Australian Angus beef, and American rib eye to new dishes created by Executive Chef Martin Kniss in celebration of the eatery's grand opening. Some highlights ...

Journalists and food critics were offered a sneak preview of the venue the afternoon before the restaurant opened its doors to the general public.
I must say: my hat is off to the organizers of the event. They really did take the needs of writers and photographers into thoughtful consideration!
First there was the timing. It ran from 5 to 7 pm, when lighting was optimal for photo-taking - both of the food, the venue, and the view (and no need to return to the office).
Then there was the intimacy. We had the run of the place, with plenty of room to roam around, getting just the right angle to take pictures - and the chance to network with other journalists.
Then there was the presentation of the food. Servers circulated with trays of small bites for us to sample and a full serving for us to take pictures of.
Finally, there was the chance to order from the menu. In other words, we could sample what WE wanted to sample rather than what the organizers wanted us to sample.
Believe it or not, I have been to countless media events at which we were offered snacks that weren't on the menu.
But we weren't offered anything that was actually on the menu. Yet we were expected to review the place. And that means talking about the food.
Which reminds me: I forgot to mention the food, and it was simply delicious!
The highly eclectic menu runs from live seafood to fresh oysters to appetizers, pasta, pizza, tandoori, salads, and grilled meats.
It would be hard to pick a favourite, but I was particularly fond of the tandoori lamb appetizers, which were served on a skewer with a whimsical slice of cocktail olive.
The succulent US Prime Beef New York Strip came in a close second.
I am not a big fan of buffets, but I like the semi buffet lunches Cafe Deco serves on Sunday.
Appetizers such as seafood and salads as well as fruit and desserts are served buffet style.
But main courses are cooked to order and served a la carte. This, to me, is the best of both worlds.
I've eaten at the old Cafe Deco on the Peak several times, and it has always been one of my favourite Hong Kong restaurants.
This new Cafe Deco outlet in Tsim Sha Tsui is a welcome addition to Kowloon's dining out scene.
The Cafe Deco Group has 30 restaurants, bars, and lounges under 25 brands in four cities: Hong Kong, Macau, Shanghai, and Sydney
